I know we’ve shifted from the Thanksgiving holiday to the Christmas season, but a recent community event in which I and other coworkers were involved provided a fertile scenario for story or story scene ideas. This was a community Thanksgiving dinner event that our fledgling catering department was in charge of cooking for and serving. It started out with some major concerns due to some prepping and timing details, but in the end, adrenaline and some very capable folks pulled it all together while the public was none the wiser. It was a time when we were all thankful for each other’s abilities and patience and of course help from above. After all, it was about doing something for other people.
This video gives just a slice of the story that was going on in the kitchen preparing for the big meal. While the event’s 5K fun run was kicking off, those in the kitchen were on a cooking run preparing for all those appetites after the race.
